Over the last few decades, the level of physical activity in people’s lives has declined significantly. Factors such as day-to-day running, lack of time, lack of places and resources are responsible. Most people perform little physical effort, and when they do, they are more involved in their work, household chores, transportation and leisure. Although specific health risks differ across countries and regions, lack of physical activity is associated with the onset of many common diseases, physical activity can prevent or negate many of these risks caused by inactivity and can also treat conditions acquired.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that, with the exception of a few countries in Africa, chronic diseases are currently the source of most of the fatalities occurring in the world. The WHO cites four diseases that contribute to higher levels of mortality in low- and middle-income countries: cardiovascular diseases, dsts, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes.
One of the most widely used definitions of health is: second the World Health Organisation (WHO) is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not just the absence of disease or infirmity. This definition goes far beyond a physical health condition, but includes mental health and general well-being.

The use of sport as a means of raising awareness of sexual disease in developing countries, for example, using district or national health campaigns supported by athletes and sports competitions;
The use of sport as a didactic function to bring vital information to health and to groups at risk;
The use of sport to encourage communities that have difficult access to this practice, with large-scale health campaigns.
Sport is considered the instrument that enables and much to achieve health, mind and body goals, including the treatment of depression and stress-related disorders.
